Our Story

It all began with a dream…

The inspiration for FLOTZ was born in the mind of Paul Ward several years ago, in one of his favorite diners in Texas. After a meal, he asked his waitress for a half glass of soda, which he promptly took to the ice cream dispenser to make his own soda float.

That caused him to wonder: isn't there a machine that combines soda and soft-serve ice cream into a perfectly blended, consistent, delicious soda float? So he set out to create one. After extensive research and a thorough market viability study, FLOTZ officially filed an LLC in the state of Texas in July 2021.

While the prototype is still in development, the patent for our machine has been filed. FLOTZ will provide a proforma to potential investors for the seed round of funding — more details are coming very soon.

The Founder

Paul's story

Paul Ward is the founder and driving force behind FLOTZ. In 2021 he turned a lifelong love of the classic soda float into a mission, officially launching the company in the state of Texas.

Paul knows without doubt that this is a divine direction for his future, and is eager to see FLOTZ come to full fruition over the coming months and years. He brings drive and expectation to the work of perfecting the product, and believes in taking great care of people — so that each sip takes every consumer to a place of pleasure, relaxation and delight.
